Sud Sonico is glad to announce the second edition of its festival Sagra Elettronica, a ten-hours open air festival for food and electronic music aficionados in Italy’s heel of the boot, Lecce, in Apulia.
The event evolves from the typical Italian gastronomy & folk “sagra” format, aiming to create an innovative sagra for young and adult audiences. In this edition, the festival aims to reinterpret the concept of #liminal, to indicate that psycho-physical status for which the individual is called to superate the commonly imposed cultural, social, geographical boundaries. We do invite you to enjoy new visions, art forms and disciplines, which interact in an irreplaceable context, designed to bring the user in the liminal direction.
Among the guest artists, there will be the Hellenic avant-dub visionary Jay Glass Dubs, the shamanic electronica musician Aïsha Devi, the Congolese-Londoner producer Nkisi, the legendary locale reggae hero DJ WAR, the dancer Serena D’Amato in featuring with her Tarantranse Orchestra and many others. The event also features a rich street food menù for vegans, celiacs and carnivores, and numerous contemporary art installations and performances to be held within the masseria’s indoor and outdoor space.
