On June 14th, 2024, Sud Sonico celebrates five years with and for local and global communities: an intense period, full of fantastic meetings, music, charity initiatives and virtuous collaborations.
On this special occasion, we organize a new event of ‘Musica Etica’, our musical fundraising project for humanitarian causes. The event is dedicated to members and citizens that are willing to support ‘Pamoja’, an emergency school in Kolwezi, Congo. The school is managed and run by STILL I RISE, and guarantees the right to a happy youth and education to 120 children.
The school is located in an area where the five largest cobalt mines in the world arise. The extraction of cobalt is carried out by infringing the human and natural rights of tens of thousands Congolese citizens and children, forced to work in conditions of semi-slavery.
The programme includes live performances and DJ sets by Apulian and Italian musicians and selectors, who have chosen to help us do good. The event is organised in collaboration with ORDA Pride, Officine MAI+ and Parco dei Colori.
