Japanese electronic musician and multi-instrumentalist Midori Hirano contributes to Xenomorph Sounds series with a mix of tracks from different geographic and musical worlds.
Originally trained in classical music, Hirano got known for her excellent piano manipulations and experimental, contemporary music releases. In fact, it’s no surprise that her mix showcases features songs from Africa and East Asia, including dark ambient, field recordings, and difficult-to-categorize electronic music.
“I picked up these tracks and artists according to this series’ concept “alien outernational sounds”. I believe the all tracks have wonderful indigenous sounds in context of modern electronic compositions, as well as their wildness, weirdness, overflowing impulse, beauty of quietness and poetry reading even if you don’t understand the language “, states the musician.
Let’s just.. enjoy the listening!
